A few years ago, I got a facial because my face was getting really irritated and started to break out (yes, I know people that get facials a few times a year; I’m not one of those people). What I got from the esthetician was some valuable information – my skin is pretty sensitive, and I was basically scrubbing it raw everyday, inviting little germies into my skin, and causing breakouts. So what I had to do was just use a mild facial cleanser, and exfoliate maybe once or twice a week. I did that, and the breakouts were gone.

Ever since then, I’m wary to introduce new products to my skin care regimen, but for the past year, I’ve been slowly integrating beauty products with the Leaping Bunny symbol into my routine. Why? Watch this video:

Here’s what the Leaping Bunny symbol (from the Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics) looks like:

A couple of months ago, I bought the JĀSÖN® Brightening Apricot Scrubble (facial wash and scrub) at Whole Foods. It was $8.99 but I got it on sale for a couple dollars cheaper. I’ve used this maybe once a week for a couple months now, and my skin hasn’t been irritated or reacted negatively to it at all! Thumbs up for this!

I also called the company, and spoke to a representative that told me that this product was vegan (even though you have the Leaping Bunny certification, that just ensures no animal testing, and does not exactly mean that the ingredients are all vegan). So, if you’re unsure, just call the company, like I did!
